With Crispr, a Possible Quick Test for the Coronavirus
2017 Blavatnik Awards Laureate in Life Sciences, Dr. Feng Zhang, has developed an experimental prototype for a quick and affordable test to diagnose the coronavirus based on the gene-editing technology, Crispr. Dr. Zhang was one of the pioneers of Crispr technology and was recognized as a Blavatnik Laureate for his role in developing the CRISPR-Cas9 gene-editing system and pioneering its use in mammalian cells, and for his development of revolutionary technologies in neuroscience.
