The Foundation is a major supporter of scholarships, fellowships and internships at several universities and institutions. Our work helps interns and research fellows to progress breakthroughs in life science technologies, develop a deep understanding of critical foreign policy issues, and develop the leadership skills needed to advance their careers.

The Foundation funds the Blavatnik Internship Program at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), providing paid internships to more than one hundred interns each year. Blavatnik interns in the CFR’s Washington, D.C. and New York offices, gain insights into critical foreign policy issues and interact with leading experts and practitioners.

Harvard Business School

The Foundation's Fellowship in Life Science Entrepreneurship offers Harvard Business School alumni and Harvard-affiliated postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to advance new ventures around promising life science technologies and develop their leadership talents during a 12-month fellowship year. To date, funding has supported 44 fellows, allowing for the establishment of 35 companies in domains such as diagnostics, digital health and therapeutics, and resulting in over $500 million in new capital being raised.

The Foundation has been a major supporter of the American Secretaries of State Project, a joint initiative of Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard Law School, and Harvard Business School. The project has conducted nine in-depth interviews with former U.S. Secretaries of State.
