Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Will Open Its 2025 Holiday Season With December Gala

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will open its 2025 holiday season with an Opening Night Gala on Wednesday, December 3 at 7 p.m., marking the first season under Artistic Director Alicia Graf Mack. The event begins with a special program at New York City Center and continues with a dinner and celebration at the Ziegfeld Ballroom. The Gala will honor Daria L. Wallach, chair of the AILEY Board of Trustees, recognizing her leadership and contributions to the organization. Proceeds from the Gala support the Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation, including new work development, scholarships at The Ailey School, and AILEY’s educational programs. Event co-chairs are Jody & John Arnhold, Emily & Len Blavatnik, Jack Pitts, Eric J. Wallach, Joan & Sandy Weill, and Pamela D. Zilly & John H. Schaefer, with vice chairs Anthony S. Kendall and Anthony A. Lewis.

Public Adds Seagull: True Story to Spring 2026 Slate

Off-Broadway's Public has added Eli Rarey and Alexander Molochnikov's Seagull: True Story to its season, with performances slated to begin in LuEsther Hall March 22 ahead of a March 30 opening night. The limited run will continue through April 26. Supported by the Blavatnik Family Foundation, the production fuses autobiographical drama and biting political satire with classic Chekhovian themes. Tickets go on sale for Public Partner and Supporter Plus-level subscribers December 3, with Supporter-level tickets going on sale December 5. Single tickets will be available beginning December 17.

The Blavatnik US-Israel Scientific Forum on Genome Medicine Over a Human Lifetime

The 5th Blavatnik U.S.-Israel Scientific Forum: Genome Medicine Over a Human Lifetime, held October 22–23, 2025 in Washington, DC, brought leading researchers from the United States and Israel together to explore how advances in genomics are transforming human health across the lifespan—from the genetics of complex traits and neurodevelopmental disorders to cancer genomics, AI-driven genome analysis, genome stability, and emerging therapies for single-gene diseases. Through keynote talks, scientific sessions, and panel discussions, participants highlighted cutting-edge discoveries and their translation into precision medicine and public health. Hosted by the National Academy of Sciences and the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, the Forum reflects the Blavatnik Family Foundation’s support for binational scientific cooperation and joint innovation between the two countries.

The Blavatnik Family Foundation-supported Lighthouse Guild's adaptive baseball team has been featured in CNN's 5 Good Things! Baseball is the greatest sport. Have you heard of the US Blind Baseball Association, a league for legally blind athletes who love the game? It's come up with an ingenious way to make baseball accessible: A player holds their own ball and tosses it up to hit. The balls contain several chimes so players can always hear them, and the bases make beeping noises to guide them in.
