Harvard Business School (HBS) has named its 2024-25 Blavatnik Fellows and the program’s eleventh cohort. Launched in 2013, the Blavatnik Fellowship in Life Science Entrepreneurship is part of a gift from the Blavatnik Family Foundation to Harvard University.
Blavatnik School Faculty and Alumnus Elected to UK Parliament

One of the Blavatnik School’s first Political Leadership Scholars, Keir Mather and former Chief Operating Officer and Senior Fellow in Public Management, Calum Miller, were sworn into the UK Parliament last week, after winning seats for the Labour Party in Selby and Ainsty and the Liberal Democrats in Bicester and Woodstock respectively. They join almost 350 Blavatnik School faculty and alumni working in governments or intergovernmental organisations across 74 different countries around the world.

Blavatnik Awards National Honoree Named to 2024 Class of Great Immigrants

Viviana Gradinaru, a 2021 Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientist National Finalist, has been named one of Carnegie Corporation's Great Immigrants of 2024. Comprised of naturalized citizens from 16 countries, honorees are recognized for their work in science, public service, education, health, journalism, the arts, and business, among other fields. Gradinaru’s research has focused on developing technologies for neuroscience that are used to probe circuits underlying locomotion, reward, and sleep, and she has explored the benefits of deep brain stimulation for patients with Parkinson’s disease.

Justin Peck’s “Illinoise” Wins 2024 Tony for Best Choreography

"Illinoise" began performances and opened on Broadway April 24, 2024 at the St. James. The musical is inspired by Sufjan Stevens' album "Illinois" and features direction and choreography by Peck. The Foundation supported "Illinoise" during its premiere at the Fisher Center at Bard in 2023.
