Beyoncé meets Bridgerton in the new ‘Crown to Couture’ exhibition; a veritable fashion feast that will be unveiled at Kensington Palace next week. Through a carefully curated selection of more than 200 pieces, the exhibition draws parallels between the pomp, ceremony and performance of the contemporary red carpet and the pressure to ‘see and be seen’ at Georgian court. Crown to Couture opens to the public on 5 April 2023 and is included in palace admission. ‘Crown to Couture’ at Kensington Palace is set to trace the history of couture from the 18th-century royal court to today’s red carpet in the largest exhibition ever staged at the palace. All the books in the shortlist have won the Prize in the past but only one book will be named a Winner of Winners.
