Get an Early Peek at the New Ken Burns Documentary About the American Revolution

American Revolution

Ken Burns’s latest documentary series, “The American Revolution,” doesn’t start airing for another five months. It debuts on PBS Nov. 16. Burns produced and directed the documentary with Sarah Botstein and David Schmidt. They’ve variously collaborated with Burns on several previous projects, including “Benjamin Franklin,” “The US and the Holocaust” (both 2022), and “The Vietnam War” (2017). Two snippets from the documentary are now available for viewing online. The first clip arrived in April, tied to the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord. The new one was released this week, for the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill.
